Previous Version 5/5 — Roman Hargrave — 2025-07-02 00:30

What is credit?

Credit is like a gift card. It is a declining balance that is applied towards your purchase until you run out of credit. For example, you could buy 5 vehicle stickers with $150 of credit (at 2025 prices).

Where is credit?

It's in your cart. When you have credit available to spend, it will show up above your total -

In the above image, I have $150 in credit, and owe $150 for passes. Thus, I can complete the checkout without having to enter payment information, and the pass will be marked as paid.

How do I get credit?

You will receive credit in one of the following ways:

  1. You simply buy credit from the credit tab

  2. Someone sends you credit because they like you (or they think it's funny)

  3. Inventory you paid for is removed/replaced

  4. Management issues credit as an internal refund

I want to give my credit to someone else

You can transfer your credit to anyone. You DO NOT NEED TO TRANSFER CREDIT TO SOMEONE TO PAY FOR THEIR PASS IF YOU ARE ABLE TO PAY FOR IT YOURSELF.

First, open the 'Credit' tab in your cart,

Click the 'Transfer Credit' button and then search for the person you want to send credit to. If multiple options show up, make sure it's the right person (if it's the same person on multiple crews, it does not matter which crew you choose).

Input the amount of credit you want to send them, consider filling in a humorous note, and then click 'Transfer Credit'.

Can I spend credit from the 2025 fair in 2026?

No.

I have credit left over from the event, can I get a refund?

Only if there is an agreement between yourself and fair management - and you will know if this is the case. By default, all payments are final and no refunds are given.

I removed someone's pass: where's the credit?

Credit goes to whoever paid. If the person who's pass was removed paid for the pass, they got the credit.

Can I spend my crew's credit?

No. There are a multitude of reasons for this:

  1. Someone's credit is their money. They can transfer the credit to you if they wish by following the above instructions.

  2. People can get stuff from more than one place, and to do this they need to be in the crew list for more than one crew. That would mean either crew could spend that person's money, which would be problematic.

  3. People can be coordinator in one crew and member in another, in theory. Suppose you had a ton of credit from changing your crew around, would you want the other crew to be able to spend your credit?

  4. Whilst we are the fair family, and should all treat each other with respect and do our best to help one-another, people sometimes experience lapses of judgement. Even if everything works out in the end, the stress and anxiety that we would risk abetting in permitting this is not worth it.

  5. The difficulty of implementing something like this puts it beyond consideration from a purely technical perspective, and to add to this there is little to no demand for this feature.

But I need to spend my crew's credit to pay for the pass I accidentally removed.

Don't worry: if that member of your crew absolutely can not sign in to apply the credit, someone from OCFIS can help you. Worst comes to worst, someone from inventory can apply the credit as a cashier.

Can I see my crew's credit?

Not at this time.
